Why I Started This Blog

I build apps. That’s what I do every day. Design screens, write code, fix bugs, respond to user feedback, and ship updates. For a long time, that felt like enough. The work spoke for itself.

But somewhere along the way, I realized I had things to say that didn’t fit inside an app update or a release note. So I started this blog.

More than a logo on the App Store

When you download an app, you usually don’t think much about who made it. You care about whether it works, whether it’s useful, and whether it respects your time. That’s fair, and that’s how it should be.

But behind every Nexus app is a real person making real decisions. Why I chose one design over another. Why a feature exists or doesn’t. What tradeoffs I wrestled with. This blog is my chance to share that side of things. Not to impress anyone, but because I think it’s interesting and because some of you have asked.

Sharing what I’ve learned

Building eight apps across wellness, fitness, education, productivity, finance, and gaming has taught me a lot. Some of it is specific to mobile development. Some of it is just general lessons about making things and putting them out into the world.

I’m not an expert on everything. But I’ve been through enough launches, rejections, redesigns, and late-night debugging sessions to have a few stories worth telling. If even one post saves another indie developer a headache, that’s a win.

I want to hear from you

This isn’t meant to be a one-way broadcast. I want to know what you think about my apps, about the topics I write about, about what you’d like to see me build next. The best products come from real conversations with the people who use them.

If you have thoughts, reach out. Reply to a post, send me an email, leave a review. I read everything.

What you can expect

I’m going to keep it simple. Posts will cover things like:

  • How and why I build what I build
  • Updates on new features and upcoming apps
  • Honest takes on the challenges of being an independent developer
  • Occasional deep dives into specific apps and the thinking behind them

No fluff, no corporate speak, no posting for the sake of posting. When I have something worth saying, I’ll say it.

Thanks for being here
